Pokki brings back the Start Menu in Windows 8
Most of the Windows 8 users are still missing the traditional Start menu which is replaced by the new Start Screen. As Microsoft is not thinking of bringing back the Start menu, so you might be better of with alternative like Pokki menu.
Pokki Menu is quite similar to the old one in windows 7, but there are some new features that make it more useful. Like the standard Windows Start menu, Pokki Menu appear whenever you press the windows key. Pokki has divided its Start menu in mainly three different areas. The first one is the top section, which takes you to all your installed apps, windows explorer, control panel and commonly-used folders such as music, pictures & documents.
Below this- with a line separating from the top section- is the recently-used program list. To the right of this is the area for your favorite applications. There is even a search bar that you can use to find installed programs, files and websites and it also search hundreds of free Pokki apps to bring mobile-like app experience on your PC.
There is also Power button in the lower-left corner of the Start menu, making it quicker to log off, restart or shutdown your PC. The existing appearance of Start menu and other settings can be customized to work your way.
